Partnering with Parents – Growing the Next Godly Generation!

Located adjacent to Lavarack Barracks, James Cook University and The Townsville Hospital, Annandale Christian College provides continuous, quality education (Kindergarten to Yr 12) from a Christian perspective.  The emphasis of the college is educating each child as a whole - academically, emotionally, physically and spiritually - and, towards this goal, offers a range of academic, sporting and cultural pursuits to develop God-given abilities.

The college sees itself as a purposeful, educational community.  Success is measured by the qualities of the people (staff, students and parents) and the relationships between them as well as academic, cultural and sporting achievements.  The leadership team and staff consider it a privilege to work in partnership with parents and have developed strong networks to support parents in the education of their children.  Enthusiastic, caring Christian teachers work explicitly to know each student by name and encourage each one to strive for excellence in learning and Godly character in order to reach their full potential.  As a result, the college has forged a strong reputation in the Townsville area.

Enrolment is open to all families who desire Christian education for their children.

We love ACC, especially how caring the staff is and how they believe in each student challenging them to be their best and the way they incorporate a biblical worldview into everything they do. - Tabitha

I was recently asked why I spend the money on a private school. ACC offers a number of things. 1. Excellent education - always in the top 3 OP rankings. 2. Nurturing - I loved the Principal telling every individual student that they were seen and they matter at their farewell assembly. 3. Community - small schools offer a sense of belonging that big schools struggle with. Great faith based school! - Dion

ACC has been such a wonderful fit for my family. Both my children settled in really quickly and the staff have always been approachable and friendly. Being a defence family it's vital to have a school where the kids feel secure and valued. Annandale Christian College has provided that for our family. We will be so sad to leave when we post out of Townsville. I would highly recommend ACC to anyone looking for a quality school. - Alexandra

This is a school that actively strives to put God first. I especially appreciate that my children are encouraged to talk about their faith, and express it, across all aspects of the College - they feel safe, loved and encouraged at ACC. - Olivia

I am a past student who attended this school for 10 years. This is a fantastic school with teachers who really went out of their way to look after students and help them with their studies. I would totally recommend this school. - Laura

A great, supportive school community that has it's foundations set in God and biblical values and beliefs. And has a great OSHC program!  - Kristy

A school where teachers take a genuine care in the progress of my child. It feels like an extended family.  - Andrew

Wonderful teachers and an amazing learning environment! The mentoring and genuine friendship of the teachers changed my life and I will forever be grateful! - Serena

Great teachers who give selflessly of their time and spiritual gifts ! And the staff behind the scenes are extremely supportive too! - Rob

As you should expect with any College which has been in operation for over 30 years, the learning program offered to students provides academic rigour and structured implementation of curriculum to lead students in their learning journey from Kindergarten through to Year 12.  The consistently high achievement of students in national benchmarking and final rankings demonstrates the strength of the College’s academic program.

As a Christian College who understands the redemptive work of Jesus' death and resurrection, we aim to build into the fabric of our College the outworking of God’s ‘Good News’.  Students are taught to see the world through God’s eyes and to develop a worldview which is consistent with the Biblical narrative.   We equip students to engage meaningfully in their society, to critique the things in this world which do not reflect God’s justice and to offer transformation toward a better world which reflects God’s Kingdom.

We believe that ultimately God has given the responsibility of raising children to parents.  Our College arose out of the desire for parents to be faithful to this immense challenge and to come together and create a community which can support, educate, grow and inspire students in a way which is complimentary to the Christian faith.

As I learn more about the College I am impressed with the deep desire of staff to help nurture and challenge the whole child.  The conversations which I have heard between staff centre on challenging high achievers as well as those who struggle and ensuring the social, emotional and spiritual needs of children are met in meaningful authentic ways.

As you look through our page, I hope you get a sense of our supportive community of passionate professionals who can assist you educate your children and equip them to take their place in this world.
