The Primary and Secondary Schools are located on one large, beautiful campus. The soon to be completed purpose built Year 9 Centre, is located on the adjoining property and marks the first stage of development for this site.
There is also a gymnasium, hospitality centre, extensive computer support centre, music and art rooms and science laboratories that serve both the Primary and Secondary Schools.

The College has a strong academic commitment that begins in the Primary School with an emphasis on Literacy, including a dedicated phonics program, and Numeracy. A wide range of experiences from Prep to Year 8 core curriculum program allow for the broad choice of subjects to be undertaken at V.C.E.

Students in the Secondary School each have their own laptop computer to enhance learning opportunities and the Year 9 curriculum is innovative and has a special environmentally responsible focus.

There are extensive co-curricular programs that accommodate a wide range of interests include the arts, sports, sciences, music and camps and outdoor activities.

The Student Support Services department provides support and enrichment programs for Primary and Secondary students, catering for individual needs.

Faith Development at Donvale Christian College:

• It is our hope and prayer that students at Donvale will have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and that they will live their lives and make choices on the basis of Christian principles and values such as compassion and mercy, love, critical discernment, a concern for integrity and justice, the courage to pursue what is good, appreciation and care for God’s world and practical service for the welfare of the community and world. We trust that students will see the whole of life as being a response to God’s love in Christ.

• We recognise that faith development is a journey where students enjoy the experienced faith of their family and parents, look for belonging in a community of faith and with their peers, move through periods of questioning and testing and come to a committed, owned faith where they seek to serve God in all they do.

• The College supports and nurtures this journey, in partnership with families, parents and the church, by attempting to provide students with the intellectual, moral, spiritual and practical insights and tools to live life well before God. Throughout the curriculum, across all courses and areas of study, we attempt to develop with students, Biblical views and perspectives on the world. Students are encouraged to bring critical discernment to all areas of knowledge and experience and develop Christian understandings about all aspects of life. Education is about developing wisdom, not just gaining information and knowledge.

• A Christian Studies programme from Prep to VCE helps students to develop tools of Biblical literacy and explore how the Bible speaks to various issues.

• Daily devotions in Primary classes and in Secondary home-groups, regular worship assemblies, visiting speakers and groups, lunchtime discussion and prayer groups, a range of camping experiences, faith modelled in the life of teachers and shared with students informally and other activities help to nurture the faith of students.

• The College promotes practical Christian service through a range of curriculum experiences and extra curricular events. Our partnership with an indigenous Christian school at Gawa in the NT, a Christian school in Vanuatu, Gram Vikas in India and an Urban Mission course with TEAR Australia help to provide students with an international perspective. Students support World Vision, Compassion, Tear and are involved in a variety of service projects from singing and visiting in Aged care facilities, to fundraising for many needs, to mission trips and excursions.
