

Aitken College is a Prep to Year 12 low-fee co-educational Uniting
Church independent school providing a quality education in a caring
and supportive community, emphasising academic achievement,
creativity, environmental responsibility and service. Set in an attractive
rural setting, the College is divided into five schools covering Prep -Year
2, Years 3-5, Years 6&7, Years 8&9 and Years 10-12.
The primary core curriculum is complemented by specialist teachers for
music, drama, art and physical education. Senior students undertake a
wide range of VCE and VCAL programs with Careers education and a
study skills program. The Life Skills curriculum includes health, nutrition,
relationships, camps at Years 4, 7 and 10 and a City Experience in
Year 9. Religious & Values Education is undertaken by all students and
is complemented by a weekly Chapel Service. Students can access
welfare support and the Learning Centre for special needs.
The College features an extensive environmental program including its
own water supply, extensive solar panels, wetlands and native gardens
and has been highly rated as an environmentally sustainable school.
Future plans include an Environmental Studies centre.
