Overview:

Our greatest satisfaction comes from seeing truly good women walk through the gates at the end of their school days. Whether this be a group from the 1930s, 60s, 90s or the 21st Century, nearly 8,800 women have already taken this journey and Camberwell Girls Grammar School is proud of each and every one of them.

Camberwell is a non-selective medium sized school of 750 students. A broad curriculum from Pre-Prep 3 to Year 12 equips students with the principles, knowledge and skills that enable them to be successful learners, confident creative people and active citizens. Our teachers who are experts in their fields and key role models encourage their students to enjoy learning, explore new ideas and to perform to the best of their ability.

Highlights:

Something special happened in 2010... We were delighted to learn that one of our former students had been awarded the prestigious Victorian Rhodes Scholarship for further study at Oxford University. Dr Evelyn Chan graduated in 2003 and she epitomises all that our School holds dear - strong values, a spirit of service and academic excellence that is used for the betterment of the world in which we live.

Facilities:

Our superb Junior Campus received international recognition when it was awarded the Best Designed Primary School in the World. State-of-the-art facilities include an innovative early learning unit, light-filled classrooms clustered around a stunning discovery centre, library, assembly hall and chapel.

Brilliant facilities at our Senior Campus include well appointed classrooms, state-of-the-art science laboratories, superbly equipped IT centre, visual arts school, performing arts complex, fitness centre, gymnasium and indoor heated pool.

We are also excited to announce that a new Middle School Building is under construction and will include a new library, environmental science centre & water gardens, classrooms, open learning areas and much more. This building will be ready for the beginning of 2012.
