Our Community
An Anglican and Uniting Church day and residential secondary college, Kormilda seeks to provide a high quality learning and living environment for its students from Year 7 through to Year 12.
Kormilda is centrally located between the Cities of Darwin and Palmerston in the Northern Territory of Australia and offers an affordable independent Christian education in a coeducational and multicultural environment.
Kormilda College embraces students from all faiths and religions, and actively promotes cultural diversity, understanding and reconciliation.
Kormilda College has four boarding houses that can accomodate up to 300 students. The majority of our boarding students are Indigenous and from remote north Australian communities, but we do have a small number of non-Indigenous and International students.
Although nearly all of our boarding students are full-time the College also welcomes enquiries about weekly boarding.
Our boarding houses are all located on the College campus, ensuring a safe walk between the school and the residences. They are named in the local Indigenous language of Larrakia - Gumimba (freshwater crocodile), Dewarra (spider), Daldawa (Jabiru), and Galangwa (Bloodwood tree).
The consolidated boarders fee for Australian students ranges from $23,448 to $23,900 in 2011.
