A Salesian education is a journey that draws its inspiration from the spirituality and educational principles of our founder, St John Bosco. Life is a journey of faith, which we encourage our boys to live as a spiritual adventure. Don Bosco was convinced that all education is incomplete unless founded upon and sustained by faith in Jesus Christ. Hence, we offer all students opportunities to explore, develop, nurture, live and celebrate their faith. The Salesian journey offers students hope. We provide opportunities for our boys to grow and mature so as to face the challenges of life with confidence, resilience and courage. ‘Connectedness’ is an essential component of positive well being. Learning is a journey that seeks to build knowledge, develop skills and nurture attitudes that can unlock the future. A Salesian education involves much more than the classroom. Our co-curricular program provides many sporting, cultural and other opportunities to promote a balanced, healthy lifestyle, self-esteem, social-emotional development and social interaction. Technology is the key to the future. Therefore, we offer our boys access to technologies that enhance learning. Information and communications technologies are integrated into the curriculum across all learning areas, and a range of specialist subjects is available. Design Studies integrates the visual arts and technology studies. Boys love designing, making, drawing and constructing. We offer our boys the opportunity to explore their own creativity and to develop the skills to design and create using a wide range of mediums in a safe environment. The Performing Arts, including music and drama, are integral to a complete and comprehensive education.
