Celebrating our fourteenth year under the banner of Southern Cross Catholic College the Prep to Year 12 day school continues to offer families on the Redcliffe Peninsula a co-educational pathway to life-long learning. In 1995 Southern Cross began operating as a multi-campus College following the amalgamation of the Catholic primary and secondary Colleges on the Redcliffe Peninsula. Providing a comprehensive education for all students, the uniqueness of the College and diversity of campus locations allows students, and their families, access to facilities unparalleled in Queensland Catholic Education. The College maintains a proud record of academic and sporting achievement. In particular, Southern Cross is widely regarded for our Marine Science Training Centre. Our location, resources, staff expertise and student interest is unrivalled. The College strives to provide each student with a coherent and seamless transition from Prep to Year 12 and beyond. One of SCCC’s major goals of the year is to continue implementing and supporting the sustainable phases of learning. Southern Cross has spent a great deal of time examining the merits of the four phases of learning – Early Years (Prep-3), Junior Years (Yrs 4-6), Middle Years (Yrs 7-9), and Senior Years (Yrs 10-12) – and concentrating on the individual needs of children in their age groups to ensure their abilities are maximised.Consequently, there is in place a number of career pathways where students have the opportunity to pursue further study at tertiary level, vocational education and apprenticeships for work.
