There was a big jump in numbers sitting the Australian Maths Competition at John Colet School this year with more than 40 students taking the test.
Headmistress Mary McKendrick said she was thrilled that so many students, nearly a quarter of the school, felt so confident in Maths that they were keen for an extra challenge.
