I have a nephew who is interested in studying Year 11 in Sydney. He is currently studying Year 10 in the Philippines and would like to ask the procedures on how to become a international student in a private school. What process does he have to go through and the requirements needed for Year 11 admission. Does he have to apply directly to the school? I would like to ask the tuition fee and expenses (e.g. books, excursion, others) estimated to be incurred.

Also, since the school year FY2016/2017 in the Philippines finishes in March 2017, would he be admitted (assuming all requirements are complied with) as Year 11 in Australia in the school year FY2017 or FY2018? If he will be admitted for the school year FY2017, does he need to come here in January 2017 (start of school year FY2017 in Australia) or March 2017 after completion of Year 10 in the Philippines?
